"What IS Faux Play?". . .  (Faux Play- v: to play with faux)

Faux Play is a yearly event where the members of SistersHands convene to play with products.  We talk about business, individual and collective.  We work together  to create new and unique faux finishes for use in our businesses and classes.  We demo our signature finishes in order to cross train each other on best selling finishes from our markets and share experiences with new products.   We test and review new products that are generously donated by manufacturers and distributors.   We then offer them professional feedback and post reviews of their products here on our website so that other professionals can learn from our experience and gain enough knowledge to go out and try these products for themselves.

We work hard, we play harder and we have a whole lot of fun!

We laugh, we cook, we eat, we bond as sisters of the heart.

Typically, one member hosts the faux play event at their private studio. One year, Renee Holder even hosted a barn dance with a private concert for entertainment with The Luke Williams Band. We relax in the evening dreaming up new ideas and discussing future plans.

We refresh and rejuvenate our creativity as well as our spirits by being together and sharing the things we all enjoy so dearly. We are always sad to say goodbye, but go home filled up and ready to face the "Wall".

Sisters Hands would like to thank the companies who have sponsored Faux Play with product donations for sample making and testing purposes. We couldn't do it without their generosity! Thank You!
